40 couples renew marriage vows on board buses

(CNA) It was a celebration of love and marriage - on the bus. 40 couples renewed their marriage vows for the first time on board four SBS buses. Their journey of love is called "Love is 24/7" - an initiative jointly organised by Boon Lay, Clementi, Pioneer and West Coast Family Life Champions.

(ST) THE Singapore Mum today is likely to be a graduate in her 30s, holding a well-paying white-collar job. Twenty years ago, the average mother was likely to be in her mid-20s to early 30s, with primary education or lower.

Fewer enter Pri 1 without pre-school education

(TODAYonline) Only five years ago, about 2,000 children began their life in primary school without getting a taste of pre-school education. This year, the number is down to about 440, thanks to outreach efforts by community partners, including social workers and self-help groups.
